Apple

Apple came out with an OS that many have argued is better than Windows many years ago. They tied the OS to very specific hardware (the Mac) and watched Microsoft gain control of the OS market with Windows. Now Apple has the I-Phone which has been the most popular smart for for quite some time. Instead of making the iPhone available to everyone, Apple restricted made it only available to AT&T customers. This strategy work for some time and landed AT&T millions of customer. Now Google has entered the picture with Android based phones. All these Verizon customers who want a cool smart phone now have another option besides switching to AT&T. Apple is now losing millions of customers to Android based phones because iPhone's are not available on the Verizon network. Granted Android will never dominate like Windows but Apple is making the same mistake it made with the mac OS in limiting access to a great product.
